Scris de Valve's unique unveiling of DOTA 2 at Gamescom last week concluded with an over-sized $1 million check presented to team Na'Vi. The Ukrainian squad defeated China's team EHOME, becoming the champions of the first ever DOTA 2 International tournament.
After five days of DOTA 2 battles among eight different teams from around the world, Na'Vi squared off against EHOME in a best of five elimination championship. The team from the Ukraine lost just one match, emerging with a 3 to 1 victory and $1 million from Valve.
All matches from the championship round are available for replay, but according to the DOTA 2 blog, the most exciting match of The International happened on Friday when team MUFC from Malaysia took on multinational European squad OK.Nirvana.int. See it below:
One other interesting note as we wrap up coverage of DOTA 2 at Gamescom: during matches, Valve used a biofeedback system to periodically display players' excitement levels. According to the studio, the biofeedback data is collected using a wristband with custom hardware that measures the electrical conductivity of the skin. The data is sent to the player's PC, collected, and plotted with a graph to indicate a player's emotional state over two minute periods.
Valve has been experimenting with biofeedback and biologic inputs in a number of ways over the past year, and the Gamescom DOTA 2 tournament was the first time we saw some of that technology live and at work.
And sorry, still no word on when the announced DOTA 2 beta will begin or when the full game will be released.

O alta nota interesanta este ca Valve a folosit un nou sistem ,la gamescom,de feedback in timpul meciurilor pentru a afisa periodic nivelul de excitare al jucatorilor in timpul meciului.Potrivit studioului datele feedback-ului este colectata prin intermediul unei bratari cu harware personalizat care masoara conductivitatea electrica a pielii.datele sunt transmise la PC-ul jucatorului si aranjate intr-un grafic pentru a arata starea emotionala a unui jucator peste doua perioade de timp.
